Massar Egbari Performs in Washington and Algeria

Egyptian band Massar Egbari wrapped up its tour in Algeria and Washington after performing there last July.

"Youm7.com" reports the Washington concert was held at the Kennedy Center on the Millennium stage.

The concert was attended by a large number of Egyptian and international fans, and the Alexandrian band was followed by fans online.

Prior to the Washington concert. the band had performed in the Algerian city of Tlemcen, in an attempt to reconcile the Egyptian and Algerian peoples following the famous football match between the two teams which took place in November 2009.

Massar Egbari was reportedly established in Alexandria 6 years ago, and it presents jazz and contemporary rock music. The band received an award from the UNESCO titled "Artist for Intellectual Dialogue between Arab and Western Worlds".
